FEMA Offering More Help For Tornado Victims

FEMA has a couple of recovery centers open for those in need.

The recent tornados that tore through Ottawa County and Latimer County  have devastated hundreds of lives. Now, the federal government is offering a helping hand. FEMA has opened a Disaster Recovery Center in Picher and will open one in Yanush on May 28th.

The Picher center is located in the community center behind city hall at 116 Devilliers Circle.

Operation Hours:

Monday through Saturday - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday's - Noon to 6 p.m.

 

The Yanush center is located at the Yanush Community Center and will be open from May 28th through June 3rd.

Operation Hours:

Wednesday and Sunday 1 p.m.-6 p.m.

Mon-Tue, Thur-Sat 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

Storm victims can meet face-to-face with representatives from state and federal agencies to get information on what help is available to them.
