The smooth sounds of jazz are coming to downtown Tulsa to promote unity through music. Oklahoma's Jazz Hall of Fame and the Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice are joining together in a benefit concert.
Organizers say the Juneteenth celebration will highlight the diversity of Tulsa's talent, while promoting the work of the OCCJ.
"OCCJ has been and today remains the only human relations organization in the state with the singular mission to fight bias, bigotry and racism and to promote understanding and respect among all races, religions and cultures," said OCCJ President Elect Bill O'Connor.
The "CommUNITY Through Music" concert is set for June 19th at 7:30 p.m. at the New Jazz Depot. Proceeds go to benefit the OCCJ. You can buy tickets at the door or online.
