One Arrested, Two Recovering After Accident

Police went to the rescue of two people on Sunday who were trapped in their car after a possible drunken driver hit them head on. The accident happened at 61st Street South and Vancouver Avenue around 2:15 a.m.

Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say the driver in question was westbound in the eastbound lanes and hit a car driving eastbound. After being hit, the two people inside the car were trapped. Police had to free them and EMSA took them to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The possible drunken driver was treated at the scene and then arrested.
