Suspect Sought In Latest Homicide

One man is dead and another is in a Tulsa hospital after both were shot in the head.  Tulsa Police say the incident may have been a drug deal gone bad.

A resident at the Eagle Point Apartments in the 5900 block of East 72nd Street called Tulsa Police and EMSA to the scene around 10:30 p.m. Monday. 

Joe Thomas Gomez, 22-years-old, was in the passenger seat of a car, he was already dead.  Anthony Villasana Baltazar was still alert. 

The 25-year-old Baltazar told Tulsa Police a man got in the back seat of the car and demanded money, then shot both of them.  

Police believe the shooting happened somewhere else and Baltazar was able to make it to the apartment complex.

"We have not had any reports of any shots heard in the area and neighbors are not reporting any disturbances," said Tulsa Police Captain Jonathan Brooks. 

Baltazar was taken to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition, but is expected to survive.

Police believe the victims and the suspect may have known each other and the incident may be drug related.
