Birth Control For Men In The Works

It may still be several years away, but researchers at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Oklahoma City say a male birth control pill could lie in the future.

By removing a cloned enzyme from male mice, researchers have discovered they've rendered the mice infertile.

"There is a lot of work to be done to develop a safe drug and that work is in progress," said Dr. Kevin Moore with the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

OMRF believes its birth control alternative would be safer than the hormonal-based birth control used by many women.
