For five years, the Blue Star Mothers have been on the Homefront making sure our troops are taken care of. On Saturday, they celebrated their commitment to troops.
Every Saturday they send Freedom boxes filled with socks, lip balm and other things we take for granted. And, members say they'll continue to send boxes until all our troops are back home.
"People will say do you have someone overseas, and I say yeah 144,000 of 'em. They're all our children. So we have to support them and let them know we're here for them and anything they need just ask, we're here," said Gaye Beatt of Blue Star Mothers.
Beatt's son served six years in the Army and is back home safe now.
