From concert halls to the kitchen, Trisha Yearwood will soon be known for her talents in both areas. The award winning country music star teamed up with her mother and sister to share their family recipes in a book called Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen.
People gathered at The Woodland Barnes and Noble to have the singer sign their personal copy of the book. The book shares details about the singer's southern up bring and offers a full menu of southern dishes with a contemporary twist.
"When I moved out to Oklahoma they made a little notebook of recipes for me because I was calling home a lot saying, OK, I forgot what goes in this and how do you make this. And it seemed like a nature thing because we all love to cook," said Yearwood.
There is a special forward in Yearwood's book from her husband, Garth Brooks.
