Torrential flooding in the early morning hours on Tuesday continued to create flooding conditions on local roadways. Although much of the high water has receded in most areas, the City of Broken Arrow still has roadways that continue to be covered by high water.

The following intersections are still closed due to high water:

New Orleans (101st St. South) and Garnett
Florence (111th St. South) & Garnett

All roadways leading to these intersections will be closed till conditions improve. Drivers should find alternate routes to avoid these intersections.

Drivers are reminded that they must be watchful for areas that may still be flooded or wash outs that may be concealed by water covering the roadway. Although weather conditions have improved, some areas continue to flood as waters continue to rise in area creeks.

Motorists should never drive around barricades, road closed or high water signs, or personnel who are blocking the roadway.
