Street Racing Possibly To Blame For Accident

A man, who police say was driving at excessive speeds, drove off the road and flipped his car late Friday night. Police responded to the single car accident at I-44 eastbound at the ramp to merge onto I-244. Police say just minutes before the accident, they received a call for street racing in that area.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol estimates the man was going nearly 100 mph. The driver said he was going 75 mph.

The driver refused to go to the hospital, but EMSA treated him at the scene.
