Man Charged In Sand Springs Murder

A first degree murder charge is filed in a Sand Springs homicide.  Daniel Lee Thomas was charged in the March 10^th murder of 21-year-old Anthony Michael Johnson of Sand Springs. 

The Sand Springs Police Department says Daniel Lee Thomas turned himself in at the Tulsa County Jail Friday evening with his attorney, Rob Nigh.  He is currently being held without bond.

Johnson's body was found along an abandoned walking trail by a contractor working in the 1600 block of North McKinley.  Investigators say he had been shot a number of times.
