Whether they agree or disagree with the Sutton decision, All Cowboy fans are now wondering what next?  The News On 6's Steve Berg reports the phones were buzzing at Tulsa radio station AM 1430, The Buzz.

Many Cowboy fans sounded like they were thrown off their collective horse.

"I'm really disappointed they didn't give him one more year to see what he could do," said Tom.

Meanwhile, rival fans wasted no time taking their shot.

"As an OU fan, I would just like to say, congratulations Poke fans.  Boone Pickens has now set your whole basketball program at least four years," said Todd.

Most Pokes had their guns blazing though against the OSU administration.

"There is no bigger ego on the planet than Mike Holder.  He has always thought he didn't get a fair shake, people recognizing the greatness of his golf teams, which bring in zero revenue.  And he just wants to be the limelight," said James.

"I think it's hurt the integrity of the program the way they've handled this thing myself, and I'm an alum and a supporter both football season tickets, and cash-wise, and everything else," said Tom.

So who can the Cowboys corral as coach.  The speculation ranged from unlikely.

"Have you all heard that Bobby Knight is a good friend of Boone Pickens and that he might be the choice?" asked Tom.

To the absurd.

"I think the big rumor going around the Internet is Isaiah Thomas," said James.

To the really, really absurd.

"I have it on good knowledge that John Wooden is coming," added another caller.

In times like these, it helps the fans to joke.  Now, they hope the program doesn't become one.
