Superstar Toby Keith reaffirmed his pledge to help Oklahoma children with cancer by announcing he will be hosting the 5th Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic at Belmar Golf Course in Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday, June 7th.
The tournament will continue the tradition of supporting Ally's House, an organization that Keith helped establish that assists pediatric cancer patients and their families throughout the state.
"This will be our 5th year with this event and we're always trying to take it to the next level," Keith said.
The two-day affair kicks off Friday night, June 6th at the Riverwind Casino in Norman, where golfers and their guests will revel in food and live music. Keeping with tradition, Keith will hold court over a live auction.
To date, Toby Keith and his foundation have raised more than $1.5 million for Ally's House, which is named for Allison Webb, daughter of Keith's friend and original band mate Scott Webb. Ally died of cancer in August of 2003, one month short of her third birthday.
Since the organization began its mission in 2004, Ally's House has helped the families of nearly 200 children during their cancer treatments. This assistance comes in the form of medical bills, prescriptions, housing, transportation, toys, food, clothing and other expenses.
