Bike Patrol Benefits From Downtown Diners

Tulsans devoured downtown in January, now police are reaping the benefits.

For every special someone ordered during Devour Downtown Restaurant Week, the Downtown Bicycle Patrol received a dollar.  That added up to more than a grand for the department.

And, that means they are adding an extra bike to the eight officers already have. 

The Devour Downtown program got such great feedback, organizers are planning another event.
