Fire Damages Apartment Complex

A Tulsa apartment complex sustained about $100,000 in damage due to a fire Thursday afternoon. 

Tulsa Fire officials say the fire started in a vacant second story apartment and spread into the building's attic. 

Upon arrival, firefighters were able to quickly knock down the blaze and evacuate the building located near 62^nd and Memorial.  

About 20 apartment units in the building sustained damage from the fire.   The Red Cross is helping 9 families who are now homeless because of the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
