High Winds Help A Grass Fire Spread Near Oklahoma City

A large grass fire in eastern Oklahoma County Thursday morning destroyed several outbuildings.  The fire near Newalla also threatened several homes as firefighters from Newalla and Oklahoma City put out the flames. 

Residents and passers-by sprayed water from garden hoses to repel the flames that threatened homes in the fire's path.

No injuries were reported.
