Q: How often is content updated?
A: Content on the I-News application is updated as soon as new information is submitted to NewsOn6.com. The information is fed to I-News by RSS feed. The content links directly to NewsOn6.com if clicked, and there is a clickable link to NewsOn6.com directly on the application.
Q: How do I install I-News?
A: To install the I-News application, simply Click Here and fill out the registration form.
Submit the registration form and download the application to your desktop or other location. Once downloaded, double-click the new file or select run if the installation has started. The installation software will guide you through the rest of the process.
Q: Will I-News start when my computer is started?
A: Yes, I-News has an option to start when your computer is started. You will be prompted for this during installation and is under the Options menu similar to the picture below.
Q: My I-News does not load properly when my computer starts.
A: I-News has issues when loading on a computer connection with a firewall. To fix this problem, uncheck the 'Launch With Windows' box.
Q: Can I choose which counties to receive warnings, text crawls, and updates from?
A: Yes, select counties can be added or removed from the list. By default, all counties are selected, and can be individually selected or removed from the Options menu, subcategory Select Counties, as shown below:
Q: Who do I contact if I am having a technical issue?
A: Send an e-mail to support@trueweather.com. Make sure to include a detailed description of the problem you are having and your contact information. There is also a support link embedded into the I-News application. This link will send detailed information about your computer so that Support can best handle your specific issue. The email format that will send through the I-News platform will look similar to the one below:
