There are new developments in a hit and run Friday night that killed five people outside a bar on Memorial. The News On 6’s Scott Thompson reports 911 tapes were released on Tuesday, in them we hear from an eyewitness and from the suspect herself when she surrendered to police.

Five people, De Anna and Ronny Coatney, Casey Jones, Anita Foote and Shannon Lacey, died Friday night near 12th and Memorial. De Anna Coatney was leaving the Backyard Bar and lost control of her motorcycle, her husband and the other three people ran to her aid.

“I'm down here at this biker grill, I'm the first one to call 911 my name's Jimmy Martin,” Jimmy Martin said in a 911 call Friday night.

Four days later, Martin met with The News On 6 to talk about that night.

“I was just devastated,” accident witness Jim Martin said.

Martin was standing on the median helping De Anna who was unconscious and lying in the middle of the street. Her husband was at her side and another man was helping re-direct traffic a few feet away.

“I told Ronny help's on the way. About that time I heard Tanner scream, 'Stop, stop, stop.' I knew then it wasn't going to be pretty…just got a glance, all I see is headlights,” Martin said.

A Dodge truck came through the scene. Martin tried to grab Shannon Lacey, but says the truck never slowed down.

“It just blew me back. I was already in a back motion and it was just right there,” accident witness Jim Martin said.

“Police emergency,” an operator said to Kimberley Graham.

“I'm at the police station and I need to come in but the doors are locked,” hit and run suspect Kimberley Graham responded.

The next day, Kimberley Graham went to Uniform Division East.

“Well I was involved in a hit and run accident and I need to turn myself in,” Kimberley Graham told the police dispatcher over the phone.

“The one that was on south Memorial?” the dispatcher asked Graham.

“South Memorial,” Graham said.

“Okay,” the dispatcher responded.

As for Jimmy Martin, he says he'll never escape the images of Friday night.

“No, never will. I'm scarred for life that's all there is to it,” accident witness Jim Martin said.

Funeral services were held Tuesday for the Coatneys. Services are scheduled for Wednesday for Shannon Lacey and Casey Jones, and Anita Foote's funeral is Thursday.

Meanwhile, the district attorney's office says it's still going over the report and has yet to file charges against Kimberley Graham.
