WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- An abortion protester is suing Dr. George Tiller in a small claims case that has drawn the attention of two TV shows.
Mark Gietzen is the director of Kansas Coalition for Life. He claims Tiller hit him with his vehicle outside the clinic. Now he wants him to pay $4,000 for his injuries for an April 2006 incident at the edge of the driveway into the Women's Health Care Services.
Two court television programs - Judge Judy and Judge Joe Brown - have written Mark Gietzen asking him to arbitrate his case on their shows. Mark Gietzen concedes it would be unlikely that Tiller would agree to arbitration on the case in the television court programs.
Dr. George Tiller's attorney Lee Thompson said today he had not seen Mark Gietzen's filing. Lee Thompson says anything Gietzen does is not worth commenting on.
The case is set for a hearing on November 28th in small claims court.
