OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Authorities are trying to determine the identity and cause of death of a person found in a burning vehicle in southwest Oklahoma City.

Police Sergeant Paco Balderrama says the victim was found by firefighters who were called to put out the vehicle fire just after 5 a.m. Friday.

Police Sergeant Paco Balderrama says the victim was badly burned and investigators aren't sure if it's a man or a woman. The body has been sent to the medical examiner to determine the cause of death.

Police Sergeant Paco Balderrama says the death has not been ruled a homicide but is considered suspicious.
