NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says sophomore defensive end Auston English appears to be healing quickly from an ankle injury.

English broke a non-weight bearing bone in his right ankle during the win over Texas A&M and hasn't returned to practice but Stoops says he's optimistic English won't be out for long.

Stoops wouldn't put a timetable on his return but says English is reporting the ankle feels much better already.
