Saturday marks one year since a Tulsa mother disappeared. Tina Pitts' family refuses to give up hope and they are once again asking for help in their search for answers. The News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports they’re hoping someone knows what happened to Tina.
Angie Pitts and her family are posting more fliers with Tina Pitts' picture on them. Tina and Angie are sisters. Angie is determined to find out what happened. The two women took kids treat or treating last Halloween. Then, Tina was gone.
"More than anything I want her. I want her for the comfort of my family. For the comfort of my sister. Once she's at rest, even if we never find out who did it, I want her to have peace,†said Angie Pitts.
Tina was last seen at her apartment with her boyfriend. Her blood was found in his truck, but there's simply not enough evidence to make an arrest. That boyfriend is now serving federal prison time for gun possession. But, it's going to take information from somebody close to the case, to help solve what happened to Tina Pitts.
"It's not called snitching. When you see somebody doing something wrong, it could be your child. I'm going to say something,†said Tina’s sister, Angie Pitts.
The family will not give up. They braved ice covered streets last winter to post fliers. They frequent the police department. They are waiting on DNA test results from a woman's body found in Osage County a few months ago.
Her three children, her mother, her sister, they know she would fight for them, so they are doing the same for her.
"I've gotta do everything I can to find out who did this and where she is,†said Angie Pitts, Tina’s sister.
Anyone with information about Tina Pitts’ disappearance is urged to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
