Business Shows Off New Facility

Tulsa gets its first look inside Coca-Cola's brand new customer development center at the Eastgate Metroplex. The center opened back in July, but the building just finished construction last week.

Its 90 employees mainly deal with existing Coca-Cola customer needs. The company hopes to hire another 200 employees by the end of 2008. Coke officials say Tulsa had a lot to offer them.

â€œTulsa had a lot of things going for it. In the way of the incentives for the city, Oklahoma, the Quality Jobs Program, available real estate and quality workforce,â€ said Jan Lease of Coca-Cola Enterprises.

The Eastgate Metroplex is located on 21st Street near 145th East Avenue. The space was formerly Tulsaâ€™s Eastland Mall.
