OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- State Representative Al Lindley and members of the South American Institute will hold a press conference on Monday to announce a formal protest of a new anti-immigration bill. House Bill 1804 is scheduled to go into effect on Thursday. It cracks down on illegal immigrants and those who employ them. It also makes it a felony to harbor or transport illegal aliens.
Lindley and institute officials also will discuss a lawsuit seeking an injunction to stop the measure from taking effect.
