NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy is promising that a sprained ankle won't prevent him from playing next Saturday against Texas A&M.
McCoy suffered the injury during last Saturday's win at Iowa State and limped off the field but says he won't let it hinder him.
This is the third injury McCoy has suffered this season and the redshirt freshman says he's not sure what's happening because he's never been hurt before.
He sprained his right shoulder during training camp and broke a bone in his hand against Miami.
OU hosts the Aggies next Saturday but the kickoff time hasn't been determined.
