LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Britney Spears won't have to stand trial on criminal hit-and-run charges.
The ruling was handed down by California Superior Court Commissioner Susan Speer after the singer paid for damage caused in an August 6th fender-bender incident.
Susan Speer dismissed the charge after the pop star's lawyer said his client has paid an undisclosed amount to a woman whose car she hit in a Studio City parking lot.
Britney Spears still faces a charge of driving without a license, though, and has a pretrial hearing on that matter November 26th.
