WHITE HOUSE (AP) -- President Bush is trying to encourage more recreational fishing in state waters. He's adding more federal rules limiting commercial fishing of two overfished species, striped bass and red drum.
President Bush will sign the order protecting the fish tomorrow. He's also set to do some fishing on the Chesapeake Bay.
The signing and trip will coincide with his weekly radio address in which Bush notes the economic boost communities derive from recreational fishing.
And he calls for cooperation among political leaders, environmentalists, commercial fishing interests and sport anglers.
