LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ After a hectic week, Nebraska is ready for some football.
With the firing of Steve Pederson and appointment of Tom Osborne to interim athletic director, tomorrow's game against Texas A&M is as close as coach Bill Callahan has come to a must-win situation in his four seasons at Nebraska.
Callahan's job status is shaky after back-to-back bad losses to Missouri and Oklahoma State and the removal of his most ardent supporter.
Callahan says he would not be surprised to see a positive response by the defending Big 12 North champion Huskers.
He says it's been a crazy season everywhere in college football. He says he has confidence his team can win tomorrow and get back in the North Division race.
