DETROIT (AP) _ A man and woman were convicted of murder Wednesday for the killings of two boys who were shot in a ransacked apartment.

Authorities have said Orlando Herron, 13, and Darren Johnson, 11, were the victims of a drug-related robbery of their older cousin, who survived being shot at the home in February.

Separate juries returned the verdicts against Sonya O'Neal, 38, and Robert Reed, 36. They face mandatory sentences of life in prison when they are sentenced Oct. 31.

O'Neal was convicted of first-degree murder, meaning she acted with premeditation. Reed was convicted of felony murder, meaning he was committing a felony at the time of the killings.

Three other suspects are awaiting trial. A sixth pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in September and testified that O'Neal shot the boys.
