NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- A Norman police officer is facing charges of helping minors get alcohol.

Officer Dallas Wheeler is accused of vouching for three women who claimed to be 21 or older in order to get into a Norman bar and order drinks. Police say the three women returned to the bar a week later and reminded the doorman that Wheeler had vouched for them and they were again allowed to order drinks.

Police say one of the women is 19 and the other two are 18.

Wheeler is now on administrative leave with pay pending an internal investigation.
