The idea of the Drillers leaving Tulsa is striking out with voters. In the latest News On 6-“Tulsa World” Oklahoma Poll, 63% of Tulsa County voters are opposed to a plan to move the Drillers to Jenks. Sixteen percent approve of the move, while 21% are undecided.

Even though voters want the Drillers to stay in Tulsa, they care less about where the team should be.

Twenty-nine percent say they should stay where they are at 15th and Yale. Twenty-eight percent believe the team should move downtown. Twenty-four percent say the Drillers should move to some other unspecified Tulsa location, and 16% say the team should build on the west bank of the Arkansas River.

The poll was taken last week. It has a 4% margin of error.
You can find more details in Friday’s “Tulsa World.”
