Tahlequah Police are investigating an early Tuesday morning shooting at a home in their community.

Police officers say Thomas Scott called Tahlequah Police and paramedics to his home in the 700 block of South Muskogee, saying he had shot someone. Upon arrival, authorities found the victim, Eddie Pilcher, shot in the head.

Pilcher is being treated at a Tulsa hospital.

Investigators have recovered the weapon used in the shooting. Scott is being held in the Cherokee County jail on a complaint of â€œshooting with intent to kill."
