The Blue Star Moms are holding their annual garage and bake sale through Saturday. They're raising money to pay for postage on their Freedom Boxes. The Blue Star Moms plan to send out 1,500 boxes this Christmas and those boxes cost $20 each to mail.
Besides the treats inside, the Blue Star Mothers say the Freedom Boxes have a big impact on our troops.
"When they receive something from someone they don't know, their family doesn't know, someone they probably will never meet, it's a big morale boost for them," said Blue Star Mother Teresa Nightingale.
The garage and bake sale will be open on Saturday between 8 am and 4 pm. It is being held at 2198 S. Sheridan in Tulsa.
The Blue Star Mothers hope to raise $3,000 in the sale.
