Documents obtained by the News On 6 show ticket sales at the Tulsa State Fair are down so far this year. The News On 6 compared the first four days of this year's Tulsa State Fair with the same period from last year's Tulsa State Fair. Sales of gate admission tickets are down 3%.

Sales of Mega Ride passes are also down, with about 2,000 fewer passes being sold so far this year. That is a decrease of about 10%.

The big difference shows up in midway ticket sales. In the first four days of the Tulsa State Fair, those sales are down 22% from last year.

A couple of vendors told the fair board Thursday, they believe it is because of the fair board's decision not to renew the lease of Bell's Amusement Park.
