Bank Burglary Suspect Arrested

A suspect is in custody for attempted bank robbery overnight and Tulsa Police have hospital security to thank. Shortly before midnight on Monday, St. John Medical Center security personnel heard glass breaking across the street at the F&M Bank building at 21st and Utica.

Upon investigation, security determined someone had thrown a rock through a bank window and went inside the bank. Hospital security found the suspect involved and handcuffed him. Security then held the suspect until Tulsa Police officers arrived on scene.

Tulsa Police say the unidentified suspect is a former member of the bank building's cleaning crew and police believe he knew the alarm codes and had disabled the bankâ€™s alarm before entering the building.
