MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A judge sentenced a Tahlequah man to a year in prison Tuesday for a bomb hoax at Northeastern State University.
"This guy is going to prison period," U.S. Attorney Sheldon Sperling said. "Why? He scared people and wasted lots of law enforcement and student time."
William Scott Kramer, 37, had previously pleaded guilty to a charge of giving false information for leaving a note and a fake bomb at the college in Tahlequah last April. The note said: "I am going to blow this place up and kill everyone in it. I mean it."
Kramer was an employee of a company that provides food service for the university.
