Two Tulsa Police officers are taken to the hospital following an accident near 21st and Memorial, Friday night.

Just before 10:30 p.m. the officers were traveling westbound on 21st Street when a man traveling eastbound turned in front of the patrol car.

The officers tried to miss the vehicle, but were unable to, they hit the car sending it into a spin, authorities said.

The officers were taken to a Tulsa hospital to be checked out, but they are expected to be okay.

The driver who caused the accident was arrested for DUI, said police.
