Chesapeake Donates $500,000 To OSU

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Chesapeake Energy Corporation of Oklahoma City will donate a half million dollars to Oklahoma State during the next five years.

The money will be used for scholarships for students in the Boone Pickens School of Geology and the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology.

Chesapeake announced the donation Thursday during a reception in Oklahoma City for scholarship recipients.

Chesapeake also donated $500,000 in 2003 to fund scholarships for students from rural Oklahoma.
