TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Perhaps the most disappointed Tulsa football player this week is former Oklahoma running back Courtney Tennial. Tennial transferred from OU to TU after Adrian Peterson became the OU starter and he led Tulsa in rushing last season while scoring 14 touchdowns.

Friday's game was to be his chance to play against his former school but a torn Achilles during preseason is forcing him to miss the year.

Tennial is at every TU practice and says he's just trying to make sure the Golden Hurricane are prepared for Oklahoma.

Tennial is asking for a medical redshirt which would give him one more year of eligibility. He says it may be late November before the NCAA decides on his request.
