McMahan's Wife, Attorneys, Meet With Investigators

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The wife of state Auditor and Inspector Jeff McMahan and McMahan's attorneys have met with federal prosecutors looking into alleged political corruption.
McMahan attorney Rand Eddy says he met Tuesday in McAlester with prosecutors and the FBI to share information. Eddy says he'll probably meet with them again.
Lori McMahan and attorney Kevin Krahl also met with prosecutors and FBI agents in a separate meeting Tuesday in McAlester.
The meetings come less than a month after the FBI searched McMahan's home in Tecumseh and took jewelry from the home of his sister.
The jewelry is believed to have been bought by southeast Oklahoma businessman Steve Phipps who has been part of a political corruption investigation.
Phipps has pleaded s km6 okb to a conspiracy charge and admitted paying kickbacks to three legislators who funneled money to his businesses in McAlester.
