MIAMI (AP) -- The remains of Tropical Depression Ingrid, its center no longer well defined, further weakened early Monday as it moved in the open Atlantic.

Maximum sustained winds were near 30 mph with higher gusts, and forecasters don't expect it to strengthen significantly in the next day.

At 5 a.m. EDT, Ingrid's center was about 120 miles east-northeast of Antigua. Forecasters no longer considered it a tropical cyclone.

The storm was moving west near 9 mph and was expected to move slowly to the west-northwest over the next day or so, according to the National Hurricane Center.

On Thursday, Ingrid became the ninth storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs from June 1 to Nov. 30. Ingrid was downgraded from a tropical storm to a depression after weakening Saturday.
