OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Oklahoma State is getting ready to enter Big 12 Conference play without a key cog in its offensive line and perhaps without its starting tailback.
Cowboys coach Mike Gundy says junior center David Washington, who had started 27 straight games, broke his leg in Oklahoma State's 41-23 loss at Troy on Friday.
Washington was helped off the field near the end of the first quarter and his right leg was placed in an air cast on the sidelines. Sophomore Andrew Lewis moved over from guard to replace Washington, but Gundy says he doesn't know if that arrangement would continue.
Gundy also says starting tailback Dantrell Savage, who has missed the last two games with an injury, would likely be a game-time decision this week as he was before the Troy game.
The Cowboys host Texas Tech on Saturday.
