An accident involving a Tulsa Police officer ties up traffic on Interstate-44. The accident happened about 8:45 p.m. Saturday in the westbound lanes of I-44 at Sheridan, said officials.

The officer, who was off duty at the time of the accident, reported that someone cut him off at the Sheridan exit. The impact of the accident caused the patrol car to spin and hit the concrete barriers along the interstate.

The off duty officer was injured in the accident. He was transported to a Tulsa hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
