WARNER, Okla. (AP) _ A Midwest City man driving a tractor-trailer died Saturday in an accident along Interstate 40 in far eastern McIntosh County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 60-year-old Fred Eugene Williams died at the scene of the accident, which happened about 6:20 a.m.
Troopers say Williams' tractor-trailer was westbound on I-40 when it went off the inside shoulder of the road into the grass. Williams apparently overcorrected and the vehicle overturned one-quarter time in the roadway.
Troopers say the tractor-trailer then went into a broad slide off the road and its cab struck a tree.
