GARBER, Okla. (AP) -- Several hay bales caught fire on the back of a trailer, forcing officials to shut down U.S. 412 in Garfield County for more than three hours. Authorities believe a faulty strap securing the hay may have caused the blaze, which destroyed a flat-bed trailer and several round hay bales.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported to the scene about 6 p.m. Sunday about two miles east of the Garber-Covington exit. No injuries were reported.
