An Oklahoma woman is a $600,000 Powerball winner. News On 6 anchor Craig Day reports lots of people have different ways of picking numbers when playing the lotto, but this winner says she has the Dallas Cowboys to thank for her good fortune.

Nita Jacobs is having a lot of good days lately.

"I wake up happy and I go to bed happy,” lottery winner Nita Jacobs said.

Winning a big Powerball jackpot will do that. Jacobs had two winning tickets in Saturday night's huge $300-million drawing.

"I love it. I love it," Jacobs said.

One ticket won for $9, the other for $600,000.

"I felt like I was the luckiest person on this earth," said Jacobs.

Retirement for the former horse trainer instantly got a lot sweeter.

"No more shopping on paper towels, or counting sheets on paper towels to see how many more sheets you get in a big roll," Jacobs laughed.

Nita says she owes her good fortune to her love of the Dallas Cowboys. You see, Nita hardly ever misses a Cowboys game on television, and she just happened to be watching the preseason game between Dallas and the Houston Texans when she had a friend pick her up $10 worth of Powerball tickets. Jacobs picked her numbers from the backs of players when the cameras zoomed in.

"And then she brought my ticket to me on my way home and that's the story. The Dallas Cowboys come through for me," said Jacobs.

She got all the numbers except the Powerball, after taxes it amounts to $427,009.

“What's the most you had ever won playing before?” asked News On 6 anchor Craig Day.

“Hardly nothing, $3,” Jacobs said. “I think I won a hundred dollars one time that was the most."

Jacobs isn't sure how she'll spend her winnings. She says she might buy a car, and she's always wanted to visit Australia. But one thing's certain; she'll always be a Cowboys fan.

"Now I'll watch them the rest of my life," she said.

There are still some big winners in Oklahoma who haven't claimed their prizes yet, including a $30,000 ticket sold in Sapulpa. It was bought at the Maveric Mini-Mart #2.
