UNDATED (AP) -- Across the U.S. graduating high school seniors scored the lowest math and reading SAT scores in eight years while the scores in Oklahoma are mixed.

The College Board says the national average score in reading fell one point to 502 while the average math score fell three points to 515.

Each test has a possible 800 points.

Just 6% of Oklahoma's graduating seniors took the SAT as most Oklahoma students take the ACT college entrance exam.

The average scores in Oklahoma are 578 in reading and 571 in math. The reading score is up two points from 2006 while the math score fell by three points.
