Traffic on the Turner Turnpike is once again flowing. The turnpike reopened just before 4 p.m. Monday. It was shutdown Monday morning after a power pole near the Wellston exit caught fire, threatening to drop a high voltage line across the highway.
To be safe the Oklahoma Highway Patrol shutdown both eastbound and westbound lanes of traffic. OHP troopers rerouted traffic off at Chandler for westbound traffic and blocked eastbound traffic onto the Turner Turnpike at I-35 in Oklahoma City.
Utility crews were called in to repair the problem.
