UNDATED (AP) -- It's going to be another hot week in Oklahoma. Parts of the state will experience triple-digit temperatures Monday and through much of the upcoming work week thanks to a summertime weather pattern that shows no signs of weakening.
The National Weather Service says a heat advisory is in effect in eastern Oklahoma through Wednesday as a high pressure system remains firmly entrenched across the region.
Mostly clear skies and very hot temperatures will prevail Tuesday, with many areas seeing temperatures above the century mark.
Hot temperatures combined with high humidity levels will push heat indices to dangerous levels. Heat indices will range from around 105 to 110 degrees across much of Oklahoma, with some places pushing 115 degrees.
