The George Kaiser Family Foundation has pledged a million dollar gift to beautify Tulsa. It goes to a new charity, the Tulsa Beautification Foundation. The first project will focus on areas around Tulsa International Airport. Foundation officials say the airport is a place that gives a first impression to many Tulsa visitors.
The foundation is also considering several other projects including along I-44 in Tulsa.
The Kaiser Foundation is also pledging another $4 million once the initial projects are completed.
