Tulsa police say a man nearly shot at some people over something as small as shampoo. They have surveillance video of the man from a Family Dollar store. News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports they hope someone turns him in, before his temper gets someone hurt.
The ruckus happened at 3 p.m. on July 26th at the Family Dollar near 27th and Lewis.
"Individual comes in as a customer and is opening hair care products. The store employees ask him to quit and he becomes agitated, so much so that he has to be escorted out of the store,†said Tulsa Police Officer Scott Walton.
After the employees get the man outside, they realize he has also shoplifted, so they try to get the man's tag number. They say that's when he pulls out a semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at them. They took off running for safety.
"He was in the company of a female who had nothing to do with this. In fact, she was trying to get him to leave the store. The employees feel if it wasn't for her, he would've shot,†Walton said.
Police fear the woman may not be around the next time this man decides to settle a small dispute with a big show of violence.
